Greetings, Lion fans…..now that we’ve all dried out from the disappointment of the previous week, lets take a look at how the Lion offense matches up with the defense of the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven. OVERVIEW-Let’s state the obvious-the Lion offense, to this point in the season, has been offensive. Last week against Colorado…
First thought that came to mind was this. Back when I was in JR High, I played Soccer for the school I was attending (don’t knock me too hard, we did not have football). Anyway, we were up 3-0 at halftime, got cocky, and ended up tying 3-3. Our coach was furious and he came…
Lions lose their first game at Home in 2 years and the streak of 13 straight wins stops. 5 Morning After Thoughts Tomorrow.
Bring us home, Lucky Lions, Bring us home.
Kane Wilson has been taking the majority of the snaps, and the passing game woes still continue. Granted, Wilson has not had many attempts but he has brought an energy that has been absent mostly from the offense. He needs to get more reps, but Wheeler may come back after Wilson did throw an interception,…
Dominique Ramsey took a punt 65 yards for a beautiful touchdown run. Lion Defense is playing out of their minds good. Complete domination. And, we got our first Kane Wilson sighting and what a nice one it was. Let’s see how this goes.

Greetings, Lion Fans, that time has come. The competition has ratcheted up considerably in the Thunderwolves of #22 ranked Colorado State-Pueblo. The Blue Gang faces their stiffest test of the year so far. Let’s get to it. OVERVIEW-So far in 2018, the defense has carried the Lions to a 3-0 start. While the offense, particularly…
Well we took another teams best shot…gonna be like that all year. Editor’s note-reminder that the final thought is from former ETSU great and HOFer Bobby Bounds…thanks for the hitch pass 😉 First Thought…Defense is not bad at all…which is a good thing considering our passing game struggles early this season. Brucks Saathoff was all…
Before we get into it, I wanted to address some things that some are bringing up because despite the 3-0 record, a number of fans are just not very happy right now with a thing here or two. Namely, the QB situation, so I want to just be very upfront and honest about some things.…
Ok, we are 3-0. That is the good news. It may not feel like it, it may feel like in alternate universes we are 0-3 or 1-2, but we are undefeated. I have to keep telling myself that. Right after the game, Russell (AKA Lionmojo) texted me and said “We are getting everyone’s best shot…
A lot of thoughts, but not for tonight. Just happy……well not happy…..but I am good with being 3-0 for right now. 5 Morning After Thoughts published first thing in the Morning.
Bring us home, Lucky Lions, bring us home a win.
Defense……keep doing what you are doing. Great effort and execution so far. You are carrying this team. Offense…..still sputtering despite the score. Penalties have wiped out some big plays, and Preston Wheeler…….he just looks lost again. My Opinion? The staff needs to really consider opening the QB competition and put the guy on the field…
So Far, So Good. Lion defense is playing VERY well, doing a great job reading the ENMU defense and playing sound defense, forcing a rare ENMU turnover. The Offense again is somewhat feeling their way through so far, but at this point having EJ Thompson and Darrion Landry back looks better so far. Preston Wheeler…

Hello again, Lion Fans, it’s almost that time….and time now to take a look at how the Eastern New Mexico offense lines up against the Blue Gang defense of the Lions. If there’s been a constant in the early going, it has been the Lion defense, as expected. The early concerns about everyone being on…
Well we had another tougher than expected game this past week. But another win is all that matters…right? We are adding a new segment for the final thought beginning this week. As a freshman in college at ET my very first pass I caught was from the great hall of famer and my friend Bobby…
Greetings Lion fans, after a workman like victory over William Jewell, the Lions return to Lone Star Conference play with a trip to Portales and the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico. This week’s column will have a little more of a familiar look to it, as we are starting to accumulate some tendencies and statistics…
A few thoughts on a disappointing………win. William Jewell deserved to win this game. I made a comment that in the game of Football, or any team sport for that matter, you need to do 4 things to win games. First, be more excited to play than the other team. Second, know your job and do…
