Storylines: This is the first serious road test the Lions face, and waiting for them will be the ground and pound triple option/flexbone attack of the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds. I have said this every year we have played these guys, you beat Eastern by doing 2 things. First, you run out ahead of them on offense, as they cannot play catch up, and you play assignment defense and get them off the field. They will run the clock down anyway, but if the Lions can get some quick scores and keep the Hounds of the end zone, look for a comfortable win on the road, however, a quick start is of the utmost importance in order to do that. The Lions need a good win heading into next week’s matchup, a ranked and very good Colorado Pueblo team in Commerce. Time to see what this team is made of.
