McNeese State-27, East Texas A&M-24-Instant Reaction

We fumbled the opening kickoff. The OPENING kickoff.
Our defenive tackling is extremely poor.
We knew their QB could run and he ran all over us.
Our offense moved the ball well and found a way to blow it once they got inside the 10.
Our running game is still strong and the O-Line is much improved from last year.
We need to throw the ball to Sean Sallis more. He’s more than a blocker.
Jack Jacobs needs more reps. He was pulled because we needed a wider offense with more playcalling ability.
Eric Rodriguez came in and almost saved the day. Give him one more minute and he probably wins this one for us.
Some younger guys stepped up and almost saved the day.
This was a game we should have won, and we gave it away.
This team has serious discipline issues.
Despite all of this, we had a chance to win it. We scored to pull within in 3, and guess what happens, an offensive lineman PUNCHES a McNeese player and is tossed from the game. That causes us to give up 15 yards of field position and McNeese to be able to bleed clock and win the game.
Did I mention we gave the game away?
