Will Expand on this tomorrow in the 5 Morning after thoughts, but just for now…. The Running game is getting stronger and we will need them down the stretch. Special Teams were vital to this win. Congrats to Kristov Martinez, who is now the leading scorer in LSC history. The defense bent but never broke.…

“Offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships.” Paul W. “Bear” Bryant Greetings, Lion fans. Well, here we are again, on the verge of another extremely important Lone Star Conference matchup with the Buffs of West Texas A&M. The Blue Gang showed up huge last week in the 55-7 over Western New Mexico, returning two interceptions…
“Winning isn’t the only thing, but making the effort to win is.” Vince Lombardi And that’s what it’s about right now, Lion Fans. Three games. West Texas A&M, UT-Permian Basin, and Angelo State. Three wins, and your Lions are playoff bound once more. It’s not about a Lone Star Conference title. Conference titles are nice…
Well Lions here we are again. Not much needs to be said as we know what the task ahead of us is. First thought…well maybe we had our hope’s up a little high. Maybe we expected too much too early. Maybe we didn’t think the dreaded championship hangover would get to us. Either way this…
Let’s get right to it. We needed a win like this. A dominating win that was really never in question and one that went a lot better than the last time we trekked to Silver City. That being said, a blowout win where you really did not play all that well, but you made some…
The Sun is back out in North Texas, so enjoy the rest of the day and this win. Five Morning After Thoughts Tomorrow Morning.
Bring us home, Lucky Lions, bring us home.
Lions have blown this one wide open due to superior defense and special teams play. Reggie Kincaid took a kickoff and blew past everyone to get his third TD return off a kickoff. Lions will kick to start the second half.

Greetings, Lions fans, after the frustrations of last week, it’s time to turn our attention to the Mustangs of Western New Mexico. Let’s get to it. OVERVIEW-To say the Mustangs are young is an understatement. Starting only one senior, Western has struggled on offense to date, having failed to score a rushing touchdown, and have…
LOOKING BACK-Lion fans, I must apologize. As uncannily accurate as I was during the playoff run last season, I’ve been that far off this time around, especially last week. I will say this once, and then I’m done with it. It’s hard not to say that the officials cost a team a game, but in…
Dear Lion Staff and Players, It is a tough time for everyone right now. It’s understandable. You just got beat by four scores at home. There’s reason to have hope, and I’ll tell you why ” A wounded Lion is still fiercer than a strong wolf.” Matshona Dhilwayo, Author First of all, I refuse to…
1. Let’s start with the obvious, the officiating of this game was a complete and total travesty. If this is the best the Lone Star Conference can put as far as an officiating crew, that is a sad product. You could say at this point, I might be used to bad LSC officiating, but…
5 Morning After Thoughts tomorrow. Lions lose to the Texans for the first time since 2012, and the first time since Colby Carthel came to Commerce.
Bring us home, Lucky Lions, Bring us Home.
So Far, it has been a tight and well played contest, but my gosh TSU is holding like crazy and has benefited from a very incompetent and maybe even biased officiating crew. The Lions have 8-83 in penalties, while TSU has 1-10. Every single possible bounce has gone Tarleton’s ways and you can thank the…
