Storylines: I love the phrase “broken bottle, back alley brawl” because it emits two opponents going at it, any time, any place, and anywhere. It means a rivalry, and that is what this is. Tarleton State has gotten back to LSC power where they once were when Todd Whitten was head coach, and I assume it would be fitting he return to place the Texans back into the upper echelon of the LSC once again. This is a HUGE game, make no mistake about it. Winning would stand to rectify the early season loss to CSU-Pueblo, and it keeps the President’s Cup in Commerce for the 7th straight season, but the future of the season depends on this. The margin is already razor thin for error, the Lions will have to tolerate a tough opponent and bad weather once again to accomplish this brutal uphill climb that is not getting any easier. Rain or shine, See You at the Hawk.
