LSC Media Days were held Thursday at the MGM Events center in Odessa, perhaps a way to welcome UT-Permian Basin into the conference. TAMUC was picked to finish first in the LSC, followed by Midwestern. HC Colby Carthel was accompanied by Junior defensive back Steven Baker and Senior tailback Richard Cooper. Cooper was also named the preseason offensive player of the year. I will say it is nice to be able to get some love from the coaches and the media after years of being mainly ignored in my opinion. Overall, I am very excited about the season, with familiar foes and new faces to add to the quality of the conference.

Super ready for the season to start.
Collins doing well in CFL-
Ricky Collins has been doing quite well up in Canada, playing for the Roughriders of Saskatchewan, who happen to be my favorite CFL team. He is also on the short list for rookie of the year, per CFL.ca-
3) Ricky Collins Jr. | REC | SSK
After being released by Winnipeg in May, Collins signed on with Saskatchewan and he’s made an impact with the Riders. The 24-year-old pass catcher has 15 receptions on 22 targets for 294 yards with one touchdown, and recorded three explosive plays that have gone for 30 or more yards.
