Before, I forget, the Spring Football game is on March 1st, which is next Saturday. Why it is close is beyond me, but it is what is. God willing, if next Saturday is as a beautiful it is today in North Texas, next week will be perfect. Also, I think this is somewhat by design, two big things are happening on Campus next Saturday. The UIL Class AAA Region II Men’s Basketball Championships are Saturday, and then the spring game is after that, and then after the spring game, our Basketball teams take on Tarleton right after the game, so getting big time exposure might be the intention, especially since the Basketball game against Tarleton will be on TV. Add to that the fact that beautiful weather and Football in the spring bring people out, this is by design is you ask me, but just my opinion.

Saturday, March 1 at Memorial Stadium.

The Lions will open up the game at 2:00 p.m. and will draft two teams in advance of the contest. They are scheduled to play four 10-12 minute quarters, showcasing offense and defense without kickoffs.

The game will be concluded before the beginning of the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader vs nationally-ranked Tarleton State on Saturday as well, with the women slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
