The Lone Star Conference has just announced that all spring sports and postseason sports have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus emergency that has now hit the national, state, and local levels. This means the Lion Women’s Basketball quest for a National title is done, and from what I can determine from what the LSC released it appears the softball season is done, and no outdoor track meets or golf tournaments will take place this spring.

As of now, there is no word on whether the various schools in the conference will have their Spring Football games cancelled or not.

The Lion Wire will keep you updated on any information that we hear that can be verified. Please, everyone, stay safe, follow health guidelines, and practice the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of this virus.

We will be previewing our 2020 Football opponents on a weekly basis as I wrote last week, and that will not change. Until then, that will be the only thing we write about unless there is some breaking news having to do with the program, so no, we have not shut down the site for those who might start reading too much into it.
