Storylines: The Lions take their first road trip of the season to Liberty, Missouri to face William Jewell, who did not get to complete their first game against Drake University due to inclement weather. This is a better game that will test how much improvement the Lions have had since last week. The things to look for are better pass protection for Wheeler, who will cement themselves at tailback, and how to stop the breakdowns in the secondary when they face an athletic rollout passer. Things do not get any easier after Saturday as the Lions head to Portales, New Mexico for another Lone Star Conference date against Eastern New Mexico. The Lions need to get what kinks are still there worked out before then, and WJU appears to be the best team to do that against. One final thing that want to know is how well do the Lions play with a Noon kickoff. Often times, a team that is picked to beat a home team gets an early start with the hope to knock their rhythm off. Lions have to be focused from the opening gun to the final gun. I also hope we can get a comfortable enough win to see Kane Wilson in second string duty.
Will be live blogging in the morning and doing a quarter by quarter score updates.
