Texas A&M-Commerce-78, Angelo State-74
Senior Brianna Wise hit for 22 points as the A&M-Commerce Women’s team moved to 8-5 overall, and most importantly 5-1 in LSC play. A few thoughts:
I said that one thing that would be a deciding factor in how the Lion Women end up this season is how they would finish games. This is a great example of that. It was a back and forth affair but this group found way to win it against a good Rambelles squad. This was a huge win not just for the overall record but for the conference. Lady Lions have now won 4 straight and the last two were big wins. This one was a perfect example of finishing. The Rambelles went into the half win a lead over the Lions, and Lions outscored them 51-43 in the second half. This one was going to be who wanted it the most and who would finish, and hat tip to Jason Burton and his crew for finishing.

# 18 Texas A&M-Commerce- 84, Angelo State Rams 73
Lion Men stay perfect in LSC play and move to 13-1 overall by overcoming a 17 point first half deficit to run away with an 84-73 win over Angelo State. Senior Forward Aaron Horne put in 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to lead all scorers.
After falling behind, the Lions got back into their rhythm and just totally took back the game by just pouring it on, especially in the late first half and early second half. It was clear that the Lions matched and then outdid the intensity of the Rams. Two huge stats stick out. The Lions out rebounded the Rams 36-28, and hit from behind the arc at .407 percent, as opposed to the .261 shot by ASU. The Lions have been shooting hot and that is something the needs to continue especially down the stretch in LSC play.
