Storylines: The final regular season road trip and it is only 400 miles away. Only. In all seriousness, I like the venue, as Ratliff Stadium is historic in all of the state of Texas and really all over the country as it was featured in the 2004 film Friday Night Lights. Also there is a chance to make this a good tune up game for the matchup against Tarleton in Commerce next week. It is important that the win is convincing but at the same time, we get out of Basin with no injuries. You can bet with this being their last home game of the season UTPB is going to come at us with everything they have. This cannot be a repeat of Western New Mexico. Tarleton will not be a pushover the week after that, and we would be well served not to overlook the Falcons. We have to take them seriously but stick to the recipe we have been following the past 2 weeks, which is start fast, take the crowd out of it, and yes, stick to the plan of attack. That will get us where we need to be and set us up nicely for the President’s Cup game next Saturday.
