Tomorrow is my Saturday to work, so I will probably miss about the half the game if not more. However, I will have the ability to stream via my phone and laptop so I can see what is going on. So, WNMU gives me some pause because they had MSU fit to be tied for a while before the Mustangs pulled away. Also, I am still worried about emotional hangover. Two things will happen tomorrow, either we see a dejected group play poorly and barely win or (gulp) lose, or we see a team that is focused come out on fire and destroy a team they should beat handily.

Also, it is important to note that every game that was after the MSU game was going to be big, but after losing, they all just got bigger. We have to win out or no playoffs for us. You might see a 10 win team not win a conference title but at this point it is what it is right now. Again, I do not see a team being a legitimate threat to MSU until the last week of the season when they face off against Eastern New Mexico. That might actually put us in better position after the way we beat ENMU, but enough about that, we need a big victory to put us in place to finish off the season with a great record and go into the playoffs a strong contender, and that starts tomorrow.

Random Fact: Colby Carthel’s teams are fantastic on the road. Since he has gotten here, our record on the road has been the following: Bold indicates ranked team or Division I team.

Delta State (Cowboys Stadium) W-45-27

@ West Texas A&M-L 63-28

@ SE Oklahoma State-W-31-29

@ Texas A&M-Kingsville-W-41-28

@ Tarleton State-W-22-20

@ Houston Baptist-W-55-20

Harding (Texarkana Bowl) L-44-3

@ Stephen F. Austin L-38-17

Texas A&M-Kingsville (Cowboys Stadium) W 55-20

@ Eastern New Mexico W-48-32

@ Angelo State-W-41-40

@ Midwestern State-L-40-37

East Central Oklahoma (Heart of Texas Bowl) W-71-20

@ Texas A&M-Kingsville W-37-17

@ Tarleton State W-63-0

@ West Texas A&M-W-38-20

@ Sam Houston State-L-38-24

@ Ferris State-L-48-30

@ Delta State-W-40-28

@ Eastern New Mexico-W-49-10

@ Oklahoma Panhandle State W-35-13

So far a record of 15-5 on the road. That is truly impressive.

Here is to a 16-5 road record in the next 24 hours.
