Both the Lady Lions and Lions Basketball teams close out the season this Saturday against rival Tarleton State University. The Women face Texas Women’s University tonight in Denton. A win gets them into the tournament, or an Eastern New Mexico loss to West Texas A&M, which I can tell you is almost assured, with how…
This past Saturday I was going through some old Football photos that had been provided to me from the glory years, and I ran across something I have been looking for for years, the National Championship Trophy from 1972. There was only one huge problem, it had been neglected along with tons of other trophies…
I had planned on doing this, Oh, I don’t know about two weeks from now, but with the Spring Game being moved to this Saturday, I decided to hash out what are the 5 biggest things I have on my mind about the game, and the team that I am looking forward to seeing. 1.…
Lions 83, Buffalos 82 The Lions roared to a huge and tough win in Canyon in front of sounded like a hostile crowd in the panhandle. Tyrie Wooten hit three huge free throws to win the game 83-82. The group is now at 17 wins and moves into fifth place headed into a huge…
Before, I forget, the Spring Football game is on March 1st, which is next Saturday. Why it is close is beyond me, but it is what is. God willing, if next Saturday is as a beautiful it is today in North Texas, next week will be perfect. Also, I think this is somewhat by design,…

Lady Lions Run Past ENMU, 84-65 WhooOOO! Great time tonight. Place was packed and the Lady Lions absolutely whipped ENMU from Mid-game to finish, puts them right on the tip of clinching a spot in the tournament despite the rough season, and was just a huge moral booster. Next up the Ladies travel to Canyon…

Putting the Breaks on the Hurry Up and No Huddle Offense…..and why it is bad for College Football..
I usually try not to write long diatribes on certain things regarding anything as a blogger. I have my opinions and they are what they are. In my analysis of the way our teams perform, I try to be as fair as possible, but in the end, I see what I see, you can agree…
Lions Hoops-Men and Women both fall in Kingsville. Women get beaten 80-55. Men get nipped at the last second 75-74. Snap: It might be time to start panicking. Maybe not panic, but show concern. When it comes to the Women, every single game they play from here on out will determine…
First and foremost, I got a text message last night that compels me to issue a profuse apology to the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams for lack of coverage. All I can do is claim ignorance, as I know that Golf has a fall competition time, but with this being the middle of the recruiting…
