Quarterback-Ja’aive Magalei-In his first action since late 2021, Magalei could very well be the starting Quarterback in relief of Eric Rodriguez, who is still not 100% on his ankle. There is word that Magalei has been taking snaps with the Offensive One’s and is raring to go. He showed some flashes of tough play in relief of Rodriguez against Northwestern State.

Quarterback Eric Rodriguez-He could be your QB1 after having his roughest go as the Lions QB. Whether or not it he is ready to go will be the million dollar question.

Linebacker Michael Noble-He has been solid in the past 4 games and has been making plays that keep the Lions in the games. He will be tested tomorrow.

Defensive Back D’Ante Smith-His big hits and big time play will be needed against a tough Colonel rushing attack.

Storylines-For the Lions, it is very simple. The past 2 weeks have been a very rough stretch of football and heading down to Cajun country to face a Nicholls State team that is 2-7, but has been hanging tough in just about all of their losses. If the Lions wish to have a top 3 finish in the conference and assure themselves a 10th straight winning season, they have to win tomorrow, or it all comes down to a non conference tilt against Tennessee State next Saturday. The Lions need this win to get the sting out of the past two losses and end up closing the season out on a high note.
