Impact Players-
- Quarterback Zadock Dinklemann-Z, as he is referred to, will get his second start as Eric Rodriguez is probably ready to go, but this game is perfect for Z to get some snaps, learn the offense, because our former second string quarterback decided to leave the program. Rodriguez just needs to lean back and relax because this one will be over early. For Dinkelmann, who is very capable of leading this team as he showed against Sam Houston, this is about him getting his chance to show that to all of Commerce, America.
- Kicker Emmanuel Adagbon-I have a feeling he will have his chance to try some long field goals if the offense can’t cash in as well as would like,.
- Running Back Spencer Long-I would like to see him get more carries in this game and really get a feel for maybe being a first string running back. He has played well as his playing time has increased and him getting more experience in that role will increase his confidence.
- DB Max Epps-He has been playing well all year and leading the secondary. Hope to see more of it.
Storylines-
This is a game the Lions should win handily. Hopefully it is one where we can empty the benches and see what kind of talent we have. For me, I would think if we get up big in this game, Dinkelmann might take a seat to see if other Quarterbacks we have on the roster like Tyson Oliver get a shot to play and see what they can do. I have no doubt the defense will continue their superb play. Here is hoping for a big crowd and getting back to .500 entering Southland Conference Play.
