Luis Perez will be suiting up for the final time before the NFL draft in April as he will suit up with the National Team in today’s game slated for a 3 PM kickoff at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. For Perez, it is his final ever college game, and fitting that after all he has done across the country, he gets to play his final game in his native Southern California. The Rose Bowl is only about 130 miles from Perez’s hometown near San Diego, so it would be a great thing to see his fellow SoCal natives take in the success of one of their own. He will be playing and sharing snaps with TCU’s Kenny Hill and Michigan’s John O’Korn as QB. Game is on FS1.
After their big Overtime win in Odessa, the Lion Women will play a ranked West Texas A&M squad tonight in Canyon with a 2 PM Tip Time with sole possession of first place in the Lone Star Conference. Jason Burton is now 61-41 all time as the head coach, and every win gets bigger and every game more meaningful. A road win over the Lady Buffs would do huge things for the resume of this squad.

Captured by cell phone video, that was the call that the cost the # 10 Lions their undefeated conference record and gave them a second loss. It was also a big mistake as that win, on the road against a ranked opponent would have no doubt given the Lions a leg up in the road of LSC tournament seeding that is coming in just over a month. To me, it is simple, this shot should overturn the decision and give it the win to the Lions (they were up by 1). I do not think the LSC will do that though. An apology might be coming, but that is it. Either way, the Lions tip off right after their female counterparts finish in Canyon against a ranked West Texas Buffs team. Have to focus on this one and not let it determine the rest of the season.
