Storylines: Big game, and tough game, and they will all get bigger and tougher from here.  Eastern is going to come to play, and we know the drill. They are going to run, run, run and run just for good show. This game is going come down to two things. The offense must put up points and score quickly to get ahead of Eastern, and the defense must play at the high level they have been playing at. If those two things happen, this will be a solid win. Eastern is receiving votes in the AFCA polls after a tight win over Western New Mexico and opening the season with a win over a ranked Southwest Baptist Squad. The Lions and Greyhounds are tied in the all time series at 14 wins a piece. Saturday will see who comes away with the all time lead.

The games have been mostly high scoring, the past 4 seasons the Lions have scored 174 points against the Hounds for an average of 43.5 points per game, while the Hounds have scored 115 points for an average off 28.75 PPG. The Lions have won 3 straight and 3 of the last 4.
