First, let me apologize to the members of the golf team. I have not done a good nor adequate job in covering this fine group of linksters, and I will step up my coverage as they head into the post season. Now, sentiments out of the way, here is to the good news.
The A&M-Commerce Men’s Golf Team won their first LSC Team Championship since 1998, almost two decades had passed since the team gold was brought to Commerce, but that streak ended today. This is the program’s fifth LSC title since 1998 as previously stated. For those who do not know, the Lions won the National Championship in 1965 and the conference title that same year.
