Lions are playing ho-hum. Rollison has got to learn to take a hit. This is getting old. He is not going to be able to stand upright all the time. He needs to learn to move and buy time with his feet. That said, the guys calling the game for MSU are complete tools. I…
Versus When: Saturday, October 24th Where: Memorial Stadium, Wichita Falls, Texas Time: 7 PM, 76 Degrees at Kickoff, East win at 9 MPH. First Down: So, this is what is at stake. We have a SHARE of the conference title, but this would give us the entire bag of marbles. It would also give us…
Versus Storylines- Well, this is again a huge game. This is the last of them for the regular season, but then there is that nifty little conference tournament that we have at the end year that is such a wonderful idea. (Sarcasm drips) Anyway, here is what we are looking at. We need this win…
So, getting so caught up in the Football team’s success….I have neglected to mention the other sports and I really believe that I have done a disservice to the student athletes who do not play football, with that said, this post is all about them, so lets get to it. Lady Lion Soccer- The Lady…
For today’s post mortem, I am not going to give out grades. I am not going to select MVP’s. I am not really going to do that much of a game analysis other than those that are incidental. I am just going to share what last night meant to me watching the game and seeing…
Initial Response-Yeah Baby yeah! Words cannot describe how happy I was to watch on the TV as we just routed a team and a program that has been the gold standard in LSC Football for the past decade. We were the better team and we expected to kick WT’s butt, and that is what we…
So far, so good. It’s clear to me that we are just a better team than WT, but the game is only half over and there is a 10 point deficit, which isn’t much. Gotta keep it up.
First, my apologies for the lack of writing the past week and a half. I recently moved from Dallas to Lewisville, and last weekend I was without cable and internet, so I had to listen to the Game on my IPhone, which was amazing to listen to. Anyway, lets get right to it. We were…
1. Fast Start again. I was not at the game, I was watching it at home as I was unable to make it, but yet again, the offense got off to a fast start and never looked back. 2. Slowing Tarleton-TSU is a team that can and will score. Last night the defense played very…
The Lions………..just wow. This team just whipped Tarleton, and now they are in sole possession of first place, took two big rivalry games, and it was just great to watch. Post mortem write up coming tomorrow. Enjoy this one tonight Lion Nation.
Versus When: Saturday, October 4, 7 PM Kickoff Where: Texas A&M University-Commerce Memorial Stadium, Commerce, TX Weather: 62 Degrees at Kickoff, North wind at 6 MPH. Radio/TV: KETR 88.9, or KETR.org and streaming live at Lionathletics.com Notes: Big game. I cannot say that enough. This is the biggest game of the year, and they will…
Well, it is that time of year again, when purple clashes with blue and gold. The Tarleton State/ TX A&M Commerce rivalry is one of the best in Division II Football. A lot is at stake, and these two teams both feel like they have as good of a chance to win the game as…
Lets get straight to it. We kicked ENMU’s butt and it was a great win against a good team. Thoughts, MVP’s, and grades. 1. Fast Start- We scored on our opening drive, returned a punt for a TD and kept the crowd out of it. Amazing start and we just kept kicking tail. It was…
Lions pick up a huge and impressive win against a solid ENMU team, and spoil their homecoming in the process. I am just getting home from an eventful Saturday, but I will be posting grades and thoughts on the game which listened to and streamed as well. Great victory for Old ET!
Versus When: Saturday, September 27, 3 PM Kickoff Where: Greyhound Stadium, Blackwater Draw, NM Radio: KETR 88.9 FM or Radio Stream at KETR.org Thoughts: So, my overall thoughts are pretty simple. Eastern New Mexico got blasted last week, and we did very well in our game. Non of that matters now and it sure as…
Opponent: Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds Where: Greyhound Stadium, Portales, NM When: Saturday, September 27, 2014 Kickoff at 4 PM Overall thoughts: Last year, ENMU was picked to be the celler dweller in the LSC along with TAMUC. Luckily the pundits were wrong and Eastern won the conference outright and we got a bowl invite. They…
As I said yesterday, this was a great win for the program. It is a defacto home game to start with, the closest team that would make it a true neutral site game would be if we ever played Tarleton, but I know that both schools want to keep those matchups home and home, so…
Well, I am back in the comfort of my Dallas Apartment and very tired, full of Barbecue, and a lot poorer thanks to some ridiculous prices set by Jerry Jones for my very pleasant experience, and about to take a nice midday nap when the adrenaline wears off. That said, that is what you pay…
Open Game Day Thread. Post updates and game thoughts in the Comment Section. Lets go get some sausage for Breakfast.
Versus When: Saturday, September 20, 10 A.M. Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas What’s at stake: For both teams, there is a lot at at stake. The first thing is starting off the season with a 1-0 conference play record. The second thing for both is leaving Arlington with a 2-1 record, as the loser leaves…
