Overall a pretty good game against West Texas. Grades and MVP’s tomorrow.

After an early 7-0 lead, the Lions are doing what they need to do to get back on top.

A lot of good Football to played today. Watching Texas Tech play Kansas, then will be definitely tuning into Alabama vs. Texas A&M at 2:30 and then will be watching our game for tonight.

So tomorrow is a big test. West Texas A&M is still West Texas A&M. They are down, but not out, there is a lot of Football left to be played. So, here are 5 things we can do to take down the Buffs. Take the crowd out of it. Canyon is still a tough place…

West Texas A&M. They had been the cream of the LSC crop in Football for almost a decade. They won Championships, made large runs in playoff situations, and almost always won the big games. Since Carthel and Crew moved from the South Plains to the Blackland Prairies, they have really fallen off. This is going…

Overall Opining-In a game where you are playing the only team that most people have said are better than you, and you beat them, that is reason to celebrate. What I have a hard time swallowing is that this could have been a much more potent win in so many ways. I have always said…

if you have a flair for the dramatic, this was the game for you. If not, just be glad we beat a very good Football team. Grades, MVP’s and very strong opinions coming up in the post mortem tomorrow. Great win!

So, here are the keys to the game tonight. I will be leaving shortly, so here are the 5 things we MUST do to win this thing tonight. Crowd has to be a factor. Last year, the crowd was not a factor because there was not much of a crowd due to many of the…

Well, we knew that this would be the biggest of just about every game we would have on the schedule, and no disrespect to Delta State, but this game is HUGE. National TV audience, both teams with identical records, one showing it can just run all over opponents and the other showed that their offense…

Time to hand out report cards and trophy’s for one of the most lopsided wins in recent history against an LSC team. Offense-A Minus. Penalties killed us, but other than that, the running game continues to show how very good it is and very hard to stop. The passing game was in sync all game…

The Photo above is from two years ago, and my gosh does this one feel good. Write up coming up tomorrow and a HUGE preview coming up for next week’s nationally televised game vs. Angelo State.

First half has been total domination on both sides of the ball. Running or throwing, it appears it does not matter what we do, it just looks like the Lions cannot be stopped. Need to keep this momentum up.

A lot of big games today. I will be tuning in for Texas Tech and Baylor in Arlington, rooting for Tech of course, and Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State at 6:30 and will watch that on the big screen while streaming our game from the laptop.

1st and 10-Non Football related, but Tim McMurray, who has served as associate AD at numerous places, has been named Ryan Ivey’s replacement as Athletic Director. I have no idea what to think about this in all. I guess it is because I did not see us only having Ryan Ivey for 2 1/2 years,…

Evaluations of games are messy things to write up on, especially if you want to judge it just by numbers, but last night was more than just another conference test, it was a gut check, with conference titles implications. So lets get to the grades and MVP’s. Offense-I give the unit as a whole an…

Wow. Great game. Heart aches for Texas Tech (an amazing game despite the loss), and very glad Texas A&M won in Arlington. Write ups and grades coming up manana. Go Lions.

Lions offense is playing pretty well, Big thing to win this thing is to score during the opening possession, that happens, then ENMU has to play catch up from two scores the rest of the game.

More than likely, I am not going to be there tonight. As much as I would love to, I am working until 5 today and work in Denton County, so the likelihood of me going is pretty slim, as much as I would love to, probably not going to happen. Working 8 hours on a…

I apologize for the late write up. I have had some bouts with insomnia the past few nights, but I have a day off of work today to catch up. So, here we are, 2-1, ranked 17th in the country (we will get to this in a little bit). The biggest story is the picture…

Blah-Have you ever had a day at work where you knew that you did not have to work all that hard to get through it? You just kind of coast because you can? I kind of felt that last night regarding the game. There was not a lot of energy from what I could see.…
