Good season. The second half was less kinder to us than the first half. Write up coming up. Congrats to the Seniors as they go out with nothing to hang their head about.

Sports fans, let me tell you something. If this game was being played in Commerce, America, Ferris State would be down by a LOT MORE than 3 points. Lions squandered two golden red zone opportunities and also missed a FG at the end of the half. That is 17 points. Lion defense is play very…

Saturday's forecast calls for 33 degrees & snow(3-5in). @Lions_FB has been preparing for that for months…#SnowBowl pic.twitter.com/KRknQayzZl — Colby Carthel (@CoachCarthel) November 19, 2015 We can beat this team. The forecast for tomorrow calls for snow and 32 degrees. Ice Bowl, snow bowl, who cares what you call it, it is probably on. The spread…

Well, it has been almost a full 72 hours since the clock hit all zeros on our regular season. This season has been merely a continuation of what started in 2013 with the hiring of Colby Carthel and staff, and for the first time in 20 years, we are heading back to the NCAA Division…

Heartbreak does not do it justice. Post mortem tomorrow.

sloppy play for the most part, and terrible officiating. Harrison Stewart hit Derrick Macon for the equalizer with under a minute to go. Everything that could go wrong for us did in the first half, so here’s hoping for a better second half.

Gameday today. Could be the last of the year at Memorial Stadium. How time flies when you are having fun. About to head out and join the crowd on what looks to be a fine day. I would also like to ask all that read this blog to keep the people of Paris, France in…

First and foremost, a Happy Veterans Day to all of those who served. This is a day I am always proud to be the Son, Grandson, and Great Grand Son of Veterans and friend to many who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Much love to all of you and God Bless.  Now, the first thing…

Overall thoughts-This game played out the way I thought it would in regards to it being close, but I was expecting more of a back and forth affair rather than one team being down and come storming back. As I was watching Kyle Washington of ASU walk into the end zone and then putting us…

whew. I am am about to head out to attend a friend’s birthday party, but my gosh, another great game. Write up tomorrow, oh yeah, we virtually clinch a playoff spot with this win.

Storylines: To quote the late and great Yogi Berra, “It is “Deja Vu all over again.” Commerce VS. Angelo. Again, and again, and again. Since we last parted company with the Rams, we have gone up and ASU has really fallen off, but do not think for a hot second that we should take the…

Like last week, I am not going to give out grades or MVP’s. I really felt like that game was a great thing to happen to the Football program. Now, do I wish we had won? Of Course, but look at all the positives. We played a good game against a very good team and…

Really wish I could have watched this but I was at a get together east of Dallas with some friends. I did listen on my phone to the KETR boys Brock and Charlie, but I will be re-watching the game so I can do the post mortem tomorrow.

Sorry for the late open thread. Had to work today and I have a costume party to go to at 6:30, that being said I’ll be using the KETR app to check in from time to time and set my HDMI to my laptop and let it record so I can analyze it. Hope for…

Synopsis: This is going to be a tough game no doubt. We are facing a Division I top ten team on the road with a good offense that has made multiple runs at national championships in the past 5-6 seasons. As they say though, if you want to be the best, you have to beat…

Typically this is the write up where I grade the team units, give MVP’s out, and also just opine on the overall performance, but today I am going to skip that and just go straight into some thoughts and where the roads from here. For starters, this group was probably the most underrated team in…

For the second time in two years your Texas A&M-Commerce Lions are Lone Star conference Champions. Will be doing the write up coming tomorrow and break down the road from here. Super proud of this group and for the folks who made it Commerce, I wish I would have been there, but I will be…

So overall, I really cannot say anything really negative about how the Lions are doing. The defense is completely dominating the MSU offensive line, and the offense is being incredibly efficient. One more half, and and it is back to back conference titles for the first time since the 1957 and 1958 seasons.

I am sorry that I was not able to post anything this week seeing as how this is the biggest game of the season so far. First off, as someone that has family in Mexico (my Mother’s biological family is in Western Mexico) I do hope and pray for the safety all that are down…

For starters, Colby Carthel is 2-1 against West Texas A&M. How many coaches can say that about their resume in the LSC? Few, if any. Either way, this was a good game that did not see the Lions panic when WT came out with a solid drive that chewed a lot of clock. This group…
