Storylines-Homecoming was a heartbreak due to Colby Carthel and his SFA defense that came to town and held the Lions to their second lowest offensive output of the season and made critical mistakes that led the Lions being assured the best they can do is be 6-6 this year, which might not be enough to take the heat out of Clint Dolezel’s seat. If the team wants to make a case for earning that right to win, they can start with an always tough Southeastern team Saturday. With a # 16 ranking, Southeastern is looking for yet another change to win a confernece title or tie for one and they bring a tough defense that looks like it will be a real challenge for the Lions. The Lions offense looked like they were continuing to click in the first half of last week’s game, but stalled in the second half and still had a chance to win. The Lions still have 4 games left, and a lot can happen in this conference with that much time left, but the clock is ticking on miracles and wishes to occur. We will need one tommorrow night in Southeast Louisiana.
