Storylines-Homecoming is always a great time and great game typically. This game is about a big as you can get with storylines you would have to make up if it was not true. A Lion team fighting tooth and nail to stay in the conference race and have a winning season, a head coach fighting to keep his grip on the program and proving that he can and will win the big game, add to that a team coming to town that has conference championship aspirations on their mind, coached by a man that led ET to their most recent national title in football and is to thank for so much of the program’s success of the past decade, who was defeated by that very coach who was one of the best quarterbacks in program history in a nail biter last year. The Lions played an inspired game and after so many close games where mistakes cost them close games, that same team finds themselves having won 2 of their last 3 games and 2-1 in conference. A win would do so much for the program as they are trying to make a name for themselves in Division I FCS level football, and doing it against a team that is playing very well right now and wants revenge for last year’s upset loss en route to trying to win their own championship. Just like last week, so much is at stake, and if the Lion offense can continue to hit on all cylinders and play stingy defense, this one could turn out to another interesting and intense game.
