Storylines-Hanging by a thread. After the sting of the loss of last week and the national embarassment that ESPN tried to impose on us, that is done and over. The Lions have 6 more games to play and in order for Lion HC Clint Dolezel to stay in Commerce for another couple of years, chances are ET HAS TO win out the rest of the season. The Lions have to win out, and as doing so would give the LIons a 7-5 record and at worst, 2nd place in the conference. As devestating as last week’s loss was, it greatly reduced the chances of a midseason turnaround, but standing in the way of the Lions is an Incarnate Word team that is 2-4 but still one of the best teams in the conference. The Cardinals are not quite the offensive machine they have been in years past but still a good team.
Hanging by a thread, and hoping the thread holds.
