Storylines: Two weeks after the LIons experienced the worst loss in school history, ET gets back their starting Quarterback in Ron Peace and faces a very beatable Grambling team that escaped a Division II school last week at home. The Tigers have faced FBS Ohio State where they were beaten 70-0 and defeated NAIA Langston in week one. The Tigers and Lions played a nail biter last year in Commerce and the Lions came out on the opposite end of an overtime loss that should have easily been a win even after the 5 turnovers they gave away. The Lion defense and special teams looks up to the challenge, the question is whether the offense can turn the drives they had against SMU into points, and with a healthy QB1 or QB2 in either Ron Peace or Eric Rodrgiuez, though if Peace is ready to go and his foot is ready to go, the Lion offense could find a gear it has been missing all year. The weather will still be hot and humid at kickoff in Central Louisiana, but if the Lion defense can play as well as they did against SMU and the offense can find their on switch, the trip back to Commerce with their first win heading into their first home game of the season could be a pleasent one, and at least this one has a chance to be.
