Storylines: Colby Carthel returns back to Commerce, this time on the opposite side of the sidelines with different colors and different apparel. After handing the Lions a big time defeat last year down in the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas, Carthel looks to make a repeat after a huge week on campus for the Lions, becoming the Lions of Old ET after the Texas A&M University system renamed Texas A&M-Commerce East Texas A&M to much fanfare. The question is after an embarrassing road loss to McNeese, can the spirit of the Old ET Lions rise up and energize not just the fan base, but the players themselves? Is Dolezel’s set hot enough to where he will tweak the things he needs to tweak in order for the Lions to learn how to win? We will see in a beautiful Northeast Texas Day.
