Just a few snippets and news notes that I thought some would like to read up on.
First off, I will be at the Fieldhouse for the Men’s Basketball game, I would be at the Ladies as well but have business to attend to. I will have pics up as AD Ryan Ivey had told me about some new modifications to see, so I am interested to see that. Open game day thread will be up around midday.
The International Bowl, a game that features many future college players, was played last weekend with the US team beating Team Canada soundly 43-7. One of our own recruits, Justice Luce, a commit from Lucas Lovejoy, about 30 minutes west of Commerce, played for the USA. Here is the information about Justice per the game program that I was able to get my hands on..
Justice “Chochy” Luce, WR, Lovejoy
The 6-2, 200-pound all-district receiver, who is orally committed to Texas A&M-Commerce, caught 57 passes last season and averaged 23.3 yards per catch. When Lovejoy’s injuries mounted, he also played some at quarterback. He threw a TD pass and rushed for nine scores.
Recap of the Game-Link
Here is a bit per the Commerce Journal on Lady Lions Head Soccer Coach Neil Piper. Coach Piper was my club racquetball coach my Senior year, and I got a glimpse of what kind of coach he is, is an all around swell guy, in addition to being one heck of a coach. The article is spot on, and hopefully we can get over the hump of just being good and get to great and win a national Championship in Soccer.

And Football season, is just a few months away. Per Lion Athletics.com
I will let the article speak for itself.
