Per Lionathletics.com, Colby Carthel’s contract has been extended through the year 2021. Great news and needed to be done. Dr. Ray Keck’s thoughts on signing Carthel to another year: “Colby Carthel’s leadership of our football program has transformed our institution in ways we have never experienced,” Keck noted. “To celebrate a national championship has our proud…
A Roaring Start-The Lions have started the season 11-1 and have started in this fashion for the past 3 seasons. With a ranking at # 18 in the country, strong showings in the Heartland/LSC Challenge and in the Angelo State Invitational, they have built a strong out of conference resume. Their lone loss was a…
Overall, the Ladies are 6-5. Now, looking at the out of conference record, it is 3-4. Here is something to be optimistic about; those 3 of those 4 losses were lost by an average of 4 points. These games were not blowout losses. They were close losses, and the fact that this team is close…
Next, onto a group that contends year in and year out, The TAMUC Lions Soccer team. When excellence is your standard, it can be kind of hard to accept a 12-4-1 record when you fall short of your goals, which is to get into the National Tournament each year and compete for a LSC title.…

For years, it was something for the Lion program to hang their hat on. Last night, the ups and downs that have happened since…

It’s Here. The week many of us thought we might never see. The week where Texas A&M-Commerce plays for the National Championship. Whenever there is uncharted territory for a team, the best thing a team can do in my opinion, is to keep the schedule the same and not let anything be distracting or take…
A lot of thoughts to put down, so let’s get to it. `1. Surreal. That is the first and only word I can use. It was just five years ago that I was sitting in Memorial Stadium watching the Lions get pummeled by West Texas A&M. There were MAYBE 500 people in the entire stadium,…

Its been a heavyweight fight as everyone has expected.

Lets win this thing and go home. Victory Old ET!!
Not the perfect game, but the Lions are playing well on all sides of the ball, especially the defense. The Lions need to put some space between themselves and the Mavericks and they had that chance, but Dominique Ramsey decided to fumble the ball for the second time in the half while fielding a punt.…
So Far, So Good. Lions hitting back punch for punch.
