Greetings, Lions fans, and in this week’s edition of the Notebook, we’ll take a look at a team that has been a real thorn in our paws, Midwestern State. The past few seasons, the Mustangs have enjoyed upsetting the Lions season. Now, though, it’s time to return the favor. Before we begin, let’s take a…
Finally we showed a glimpse of what we could be. The 2nd half was as solid play as we have seen from the Lions. Of course we still have a few kinks to work on but that was definitely great to see. I know the Little Piggies thought they had escaped the Lions den headed…
Greetings, Lions fans, and welcome to this week’s edition of the Pre Snap Read. The meat grinder of the Lions 2019 schedule begins this week with what has become one of the biggest rivalries at any level of college football in the state, our friends from out west in Wichita Falls, the Midwestern State Mustangs.…
Before we get to the five thoughts, The Lion Wire wanted to express our deepest sympathies to AD Tim McMurray and his family, as his Father passed away recently. I did not want to go public with it but in his post game interview, HC David Bailiff mentioned it and I wanted Tim to know…
Lions hold onto the Chennault Cup for the 8th straight year and get a needed win on the road to stay undefeated in LSC play. 5 Thoughts Tomorrow Morning.
Bring us home, Lucky Lions. Bring us Home.
Offense- Pathetic Effort and failure to make routine plays. Defense- Giving up the big play….again. Special Teams-Solid. They got two points on a blocked extra point. Overall- Don’t Let TAMUK hang around. They have some good players. That being said, we should be blowing this team out. Javs to receive the kick to start the…
Miklo Smalls throws a 2 yard touchdown pass as the first quarter expires.

What a heartbreaking day we had last Saturday. But guess who cares? Nobody. Especially our beloved friends to the south who we pay a visit to this weekend…the TAMU-K Javelinas(or the Little Piggies as I affectionately refer to them as.) The Little Piggies have struggled thus far this season. But a win against a ranked…
Greetings, Lion fans, and welcome to this week’s edition of the Blue Gang Notebook. The Lions travel to the Rio Grande Valley to face a longtime Lone Star Conference foe the TAMUK Javelinas(for some of us older alums, it’s still Texas A&I.). The 1-3 Javelinas would like nothing better than to extend the Lions misery…
Greetings, Lion fans, and this week, we’ll take a look at an old rival, the Javelinas of TAMU-Kingsville. First, though, this take a look back at was a very tough week. LOOKING BACK-The game against CSU-Pueblo was a very frustrating loss. There was no area the Thunderwolves particularly dominated in, yet the Lions still came…
Your weekly dose of all things Texas A&M-Commerce Related- Volleyball- The Lion Volleyball team continues to push for a higher ranking as the # 20 team in the country had great week, defeating Midwestern State in 4 sets in Wichita Falls and then defeating Texas Women’s in Denton in 4 sets as well. Craig Case…
I apologize for the tardiness on my thoughts. I had to look at the box scores and really think about what was correct and what was emotion, so I needed the adrenaline to die down a bit before I started to write. So, here we go- Overall-A game we should have won. Last night as…
A truly nauseating loss. 5 Thoughts Tomorrow, and there will be feelings that will be hurt. Just a warning.
Bring Us Home, Lucky Lions, Bring Us Home.
A few thoughts: Actually one just stated many times. Penalties, Penalties, and More Stupid Penalties. Lions MUST stop that, or they will lose this game with penalties alone. Lions get the ball to start the second half.
Lions are moving the ball well and playing great defense, but the Offense is just killing themselves with penalties. Jake Viquez hit a 44 yard Field Goal to score for the Lions.
