Apologies for no Wire last week, but we needed to take a break, as it has been a nonstop train since August, so lets get back to the sports. Soccer- The Lion Women have gone 4-2 over the past 6 games, and are 4-2 in Southland Conference play. The only losses were dropped matches to…
Greetings, Lion fans, this week, it’s back to the grind and the opening of Southland Conference play as the Lions take a trip east to Hammond, Louisiana, and a homecoming date with the Lions of Southeastern Louisiana. Southeastern is currently ranked #20 in the AFCA FCS poll, just two spots ahead of a familiar name,…
Greetings, Lion fans, having a week off halfway through the season is certainly a welcome relief, this week it’s back to the grind and the beginning of Southland Conference play. Brian and I thought this would be an ideal spot to reflect on the season so far. What’s gone well, what hasn’t, and what has…
I think most people have seen the Dr Pepper commercials about “Fansville”, a football obsessed town that is part satire part marketing ploy, but, let me tell you about some places that are Fansvilles. Everyone remembers when Appalachian State defeated Michigan back in 2007. App State had very few fans in Ann Arbor that day,…
I hate that I missed this game for a plethora of reasons but long story short, I got there and had not been feeling well the entire day. I got to tailgate around 2 and was there for about an hour before I realized I had bad case of hay fever. So back home I…
Nevermind the opponent, this was a VERY well played game. Time to hand out the game balls. Quarterback Zadock Dinkelmann.-Just 3 weeks ago, he was a back up tight end. Today, he got his second start and looked and played INCREDIBLY well. I feel so much better about the Quarterback situation knowing that this guy…
Victory Bro is back. Thoughts tomorrow. Game Balls Soon.
Bring us home, Lucky Lions, bring us home.
Lions kick to start the second half. Great first half on all sides of the ball.
Go Lions.

Greetings, Lion fans, and in the Notebook this week, we’ll take a look at the matchup with the North American University Stallions out of Houston, Tx. First, though, we’ll take a look back at the best effort of the Blue Gang this year against Sam Houston State. A LOOK BACK: You might ask…. how does…
Sometimes, the accomplishments of others gets lost in the shuffle or organizations. It is an easy thing to do. Just ask any boss of any big time company. There are those that might not ever get recognized for what they have done and continue to do. For Texas A&M University-Commerce, Judy Sackfield has given her…
(Note: Before we begin the Pre Snap Read this week, I’d like to mention something. It was brought to my attention that there were some occurrences during the Tennesse Tech game that I was not aware of that affected the offensive play calling and special teams. If I had known, I possibly would not have…
It was a long day yesterday. I Left DFW at about 10 AM and did not get back until 1 in the morning. The good thing about a nearly 3 hour drive is that you can think about things and have some ideas about what you care to write and what was good, bad, and…
Greetings, Lion fans, normally, we would not be writing a 5 game balls column after a loss, but last night’s effort against a very, very good and talented Sam Houston State deserves and demands it. The Lions went into Huntsville shorthanded, and gave the Bearkats everything they wanted and then some. To be in the…
Thoughts Tomorrow. Hard Fought Game.
Lions have hung tough in a tough game. We are not done yet. Come on Lucky Lions, lets play up for 15:00 Minutes!
Lions get the ball to start the second half. We are hanging in there. All things considered.
Go Lions.
