Once again, another tough Eastern New Mexico Team awaits the Lions in the Enchanted State.
The number 7 ranked Lions will head off West to face Eastern New Mexico in Portales, NM. This is the first time The Lions will face the Greyhounds in their brand new on campus stadium in Portales. I have no idea what is going to happen to the stadium at Blackwater Draw. I say keep it up, its kind of a historic place in LSC football lore, plus if you have ever been out that way, its not like it is getting in the way of anything. The Hounds are 1-1 after a win against cross state rival Western New Mexico last Saturday and dropping their season opener to Southwest Baptist. I will have the 5 thoughts up tomorrow with analysis, and then have opponent Q&A on Thursday.
Lion Volleyball-
Congrats to Volleyball HC Craig Case notching his 150th career win and also to the Lady Lions for sweeping a set at Dallas Baptist University. The Ladies are 5-4 on the season and open conference play against Tarleton State in Stephenville this Friday.
Soccer-Lions # 18 in latest poll
The Lion soccer team is still in top 20 despite two tough losses. The Ladies stand at 2-2-0, but one of those losses came to the # 4 team in the country in Florida Tech. The Ladies host Harding in Commerce on Friday Night hoping to notch another win, but conference play opens in just over a week and a half as the Lions open LSC play the 23rd in Commerce against the Zias of Eastern New Mexico.
