My Apologies for being tardy in the write-ups. I have had a lot going on personallly and just could not make it to a computer to post what I needed to post. Anyway, here is what is going on in Lionland.
Lion Track and Field-
Congrats are in order to the Men’s 4×4 Relay team that set a school record while taking 6th overall among relay teams at the Texas Relays. To finish 6th out of all of those elite schools is something. Also, the other two relay teams in the 4x100m and the 1600m Sprint Medley posted Top 10 finishes. Harris, Lee, Rollins and Luis Romeo took the Bronze medal in the 1600m Medley with their third place finish.
The Women’s team also finished with their best time in the 4×4 relays. The team made up of Tyler Cottingham, Brinkel Bailey, Ashley Basset, and Brooke Odom clocked a 3:53 for a season’s best. Many other Lions notched season and/or career bests down in Austin. Hat tip Lionathletics.com

Both teams return to action Saturday as they head to west to San Angelo for the ASU Relays all day Saturday.
Lion Golf-
Props to Chantry McMahan who continues to establish herself among the LSC’s and the nation’s top Golfers with a 4th place finish at the Western New Mexico Invitational. McMahan took 9th for her 4th straight top ten finish. She could very well make a run for the top spot in the Conference tournament.
