Notes: William Jewell has had a rough few years in football and it looks like that will continue. There was a lot of talk about WJU heading to the NAIA after last season, but they will be staying in the GLVC and also in Division II. That being said, they are recruiting quality players as their roster is heavy in kids from Texas. Last season they brought at least 300 fans and they were tailgating. A lot of kids are from Rockwall and the eastern DFW metroplex, so that should not surprise people seeing their fan contingent well represented. They also fought to the end last year. They were down 59-0 and scored on their final offensive play of the game, and I had to tip my cap to them for that. However, expect a similar result this upcoming season for the Lions to nab a big win on the road.
